Original US Buckmaster Model 184 Variant 1, Type 3C. The legendary survival knife of the 1980s, developed for military special forces. Features a hollow handle, 425M stainless steel, spikes, a robust 7.366mm sawback, and other accessories. The knife offered here was manufactured between October 1985 and December 1986. Technically, the knife impresses with its 184mm clip-point blade made of 425M stainless steel, with a hardness of approximately 54-56 HRC, and a screwed-on aluminum hollow handle that serves as a waterproof storage compartment. Characteristic features include the iconic, screw-on spear spikes, which, together with the distinctive sawback, were intended for use as a climbing aid or anchor. Variant 1, Type 3C also has the typical matte "satin" finish and the early, slightly sharper saw teeth. Included is the rare Silva Type 12 compass from Sweden.
