This 98k carbine was manufactured in 1942 at the Gustloff production plant in Weimar for the German Wehrmacht and captured by the Red Army during the second world war. Overhauled and reassembled, were these rifles stored in a Ukrainian arsenal until 1995, when they were acquired by Frankonia. Many parts still bear WaA acceptance marks, and the Wehrmacht proof marks are also fully intact. While the rifle's serial numbers are not identical, all parts are original German WWII production. The rifling is clearly defined. The barrel has a very slight matte finish but is in good condition. The carbine has valid proof marks. Therefore, it is ideal for sport shooters and enthusiasts of military firearms.
