Mauser 98k carbine, dot 1945, cal. .308Win. for Israel
400,- €
This 98k carbine was manufactured immediately after the war from leftover parts intended for the German Wehrmacht. It is unclear whether the one-piece magazine boxes, also known as winter triggers, were produced by the Germans in the final days of the war or later by Czechoslovakia. In any case, these rifles were originally chambered in 8x57 JS by FN in Belgium and the Brno Arms Factory for Israel. In the 1960s, many 98k rifles in Israel were converted to the NATO caliber .308 Win. At that time, they were only used sporadically by reservists and civil defense forces. The barrel is therefore in very good condition.
We shot the test target with Magtech ammunition, but we cannot recommend it! The bolt jams when opening, and the accuracy is rather poor. We achieved significantly better results with Geco DTX and Aguila ammunition, as the other targets demonstrate.
Suitable ammunition can be found under: Ammunition / Rifle cartridges.
