This Mauser 98k carbine was manufactured in 1937 at the Mauser factory in Borsigwalde for the German Wehrmacht and presumably after 1945 refurbished for the East German police/KVP (People's Police). It is therefore in pristine condition including a like-new, mirror-bright bore. Many parts still bear WaA (German Army Weapons Office) acceptance marks. While the rifle's serial numbers are not identical, it boasts a very good barrel with excellent accuracy, as demonstrated by the test target. The trigger is also very good and breaks crisply. This rifle is now a rare find in this condition with valid proof marks. Therefore, it is ideal for sport shooters and enthusiasts of military service rifles.
